Widmann Wine is a young estate, managed by myself, Max Widmann. The vines have been family-owned for generations. Everything else is new.
My vines
My vineyards are located in Bolzano - Kampill. Most of them are still cultivated on the traditional pergola. This allows me to preserve the freshness, as grapes grow in partial shade. This means fresh and intense aromas, precise tannins and great tension.
MY AIM
discovering my roots
In South Tyrol, there are many grape varieties, mainly international. The local South Tyrolean varieties Vernatsch and Lagrein have been cultivated there for centuries. With good reason, I think. They adapt well to our soils and climate. And there is still so much to discover...
