With Widmann Wine, I’ve created a space where I can be free to express my ideas. My ambition has always been to create a product that is 100 percent in line with my personal vision. Understanding what we like and are passionate about is a challenging path that takes time. Widmann Wine is the beginning of a long journey, a journey that will never end, because wine is not a static product. The path I have followed so far is reflected in my wines. I can't wait to take you with me on Voyage.

WHO I AM

Max Widmann

My roots are in Bolzano, South Tyrol. I grew up around apple trees and vineyards. I discovered quickly that my passion was viticulture. I wanted to explore, to go along new paths, but without losing my origins.

MY JOURNEY

Through the world of wine

My goal has always been to find a balance between origin and experiencing new things. Travelling through different wine-growing areas, I was able to gain a lot of knowledge: in Tuscany at Tenuta Argentiera, in Germany at Bassermann Jordan, in France at Stéphane Ogier and De Montille or here in South Tyrol at Manincor and Nals-Margreid. The last stop on my journey particularly affected me. A place where I could express myself creatively: the Abraham winery. With Martin Abraham I could experience my creative potential. It was him who encouraged me to take the final step towards independence. Thank you!

I can find balance by appreciating what I own. I don't want to force my wines to be something they aren't. Widmann Wine stands for lightness, pleasure, and balance. I hope you can feel that in Widmann Wine.
